Dapdanitap on the Udo coast offers views of a stone watchtower, lighthouse and tidal stone fish traps. Learn about the former lookout while viewing today's coastal scenery from public areas on land.
Travel planning at a glance
Dapdanitap Lighthouse is a short cultural and coastal stop around Udo's stone watchtower and lighthouse. We suggest 20–30 minutes; do not climb on stone towers or tidal stone fish traps, or go down into the sea. Check tide levels, wind and your return ferry from Udo.

Operating and access information is based on the official sources below. Recommended routes and visit durations are editorial suggestions. Check each place's description to see whether waiting, meals and similar time are included, and allow separate time for travel between places.

The stone watchtower and the white lighthouse beside it are features to observe. Seeing a lighthouse does not imply permission to tour its interior; follow public routes outside.

The visible shape of the tidal stone fish traps around the lighthouse changes with the tides. Do not expect the form shown in photos to be visible at all times; observe the current scenery from land.
The suggested 20–30 minutes is a short stop during a Udo coastal trip. Entering tidal stone fish traps or going down into the sea is separate from viewing; do not enter without permission.

Discuss with children why stones were stacked to watch the sea. Do not move stones from heritage sites or facilities, or climb the stone tower; observe from designated paths.
Shorten the visit if needed for coastal wind or wet paths. Respect access rules for lighthouse, fishing and residential spaces, and avoid blocking passage for long periods while taking photos.
