The name Norimae combines nori, meaning play, with mae from the Korean word for plum blossoms. Daffodils, plum blossoms, magnolias, peonies and camellias provide different seasonal scenery along the same paths. For a plum-blossom trip, check flowering photos first. Outside flowering season, focus on the garden’s design.
A traditional pavilion in the pond, Jeju stone and an artificial waterfall form the garden’s central scenery. Close-up flower photos create a different impression from pictures combining pond and pavilion. Rather than heading straight for designated photo spots, this guide suggests walking around the pond to vary your angle on the pavilion.

This guide suggests 1–1.5 hours for a short garden walk. Stay longer for detailed flower observation or rest. Although the park is known for plum blossoms, do not apply past plum-festival dates or prices to this year’s visit. Check your ticket and guidance on the day.
Visit flower paths and the pond first, then take photos at favorite spots to reduce backtracking. Official tourism information mentions a film-exhibition space, but do not assume every exhibition operates continuously. In rain, check whether indoor facilities alone suit a full day and shorten outdoor viewing.

Give children small observation themes such as finding flower colors or stone shapes. Alternate close-up flowers with pavilion reflections in the pond instead of spending all your time queuing for photo spots. Compose photos from designated paths rather than entering flowerbeds.
Watch children’s movements around the pond first and take turns with photos. If bringing a pet, check current pet conditions together with indoor-area restrictions. If family members walk at different paces, focus on flower paths and the pond rather than covering the entire garden at once.

The destination is Norimae Park’s entrance at 대정읍 중산간서로 2260-15. When combining Gueok-ri and Donggwang, decide your direction of travel before or after the garden. Do not assume walks between upland attractions are short. Plan around a vehicle or bus connections that actually operate.
OSULLOC Tea Museum and Sanbangsan are possible next stops. Choose OSULLOC for green-tea culture alongside gardens, or Sanbangsan for mountain and sea scenery. If including both directions, first allow enough time for garden photos and meals.

Plum-blossom season suits spring-flower viewing. At other times, enjoy the flowers then in season, such as camellias, magnolias or peonies, and the pond garden. Check that year’s flowering and festival information.
See a traditional pavilion in the middle of a pond, paths lined with flowers and trees, Jeju stone and an artificial waterfall.
This guide suggests 1–1.5 hours for flower paths and the pond. It is an editorial estimate that varies with photos and rest.
Continue toward OSULLOC for green tea and culture, or toward Sanbangsan for geology and coastal scenery. Calculate actual travel time and choose one direction first.
