Yeomiji’s greenhouse themes and national-style outdoor gardens

Yeomiji combines an indoor greenhouse with extensive outdoor gardens. The greenhouse separates environments for cacti, tropical plants, tropical fruit trees and water plants. Rather than memorizing every plant name, compare leaf shapes and growing environments to choose a visit that interests children and adults alike.

The official map shows Korean, Japanese, Italian and French gardens and areas of native Jeju plants outdoors. Our suggestion is to compare indoor tropical plants with the layout of outdoor gardens. Take time in the greenhouse and one or two gardens that interest you rather than rushing around the entire site.

Winter guidance for November to February recommends entering by 17:00 for a full visit, considering sunset. Choose greenhouse-first or outdoor-first according to that day’s weather and remaining daylight.

Choosing routes for rain, children and parents

In rain, adjust the visit around the greenhouse’s themes. Outdoor gardens and the walk from the entrance are not sheltered, so prepare for rain. Even after rain stops, check wet surfaces and slopes outdoors. Do not rush just before closing to obtain both indoor and outdoor photos.

With children, choose one or two themes such as cacti, tropical fruit or waterside plants. Parents and companions needing mobility help should first check actual level changes, slopes, rentals and available routes. Do not touch or take plants. Include rests and consider differences between greenhouse humidity and temperature and outdoor conditions.
